I noticed that the reserve was not met on the thermowell cover. Do you want me to bid it up some so maybe the person will sell it?

May I call you that? Don't bother. I've already bi this up to $35.00 without meeting the reserve. I need one of these, and saw that there is another one in better shape posted that I have bid on since. I am not that interested in finding out what this guys reserve is. People who put things up for auction this way annoy me. If you want to find out what the reserve is and nu this thing knock yourself out. I wouldn't pay much more than I've already bid for a cover in this condition. Good luck

I too noticed that this lid wasn't in the best of conditions. I was curious if it could be buffed up though.... Mine is not in too bad of condition, but the aluminum has been rubbed through in some spots... just thought about a replacement... I too get annoyed at reserve auctions like this one... What bothers me is you wait a week for the auction to end and you don't get the item because the reserve wasn't met... you can't bid it up yourself, so I was just offering to help you out... eh?

But, you can bid it up yourself. I bid $35.00. THe auction shows my high bid as $10.50. That's how EBAY works. Someone else could bid any amount up to $35 and I will remani the high bidder. I think if I had met the reserve, my bid would show at the reserve price. Of this I'm not so sure. Like I said, I'm not bidding on this anymore, thanks anyway.

I realize how eBay works.... but if the reserve on this item is $30 and noone else bids, your bid will never reach $35 and therefore never reach the reserve.... even though you were willing to bid that much or more.... I don't think you can bid yourself up? Just trying to help you out.... eh?

I'm not sure if Ebay works the way your saying, but the guy dropped his reserve to $1 more than my high bid. I did check the EBAY rules and my bids cannot be accepted because they never met the reserve. So I think this guy screwed himself. I still will not be bidding anymore on this. However anyone could get this for $36 and meet the reserve.
